Eraser, (Minister of Public Works) informed a, reporter tins morning that public works had been carried on during the financial year very satisfactory, and to a greater extent than it was supposed could have been done within the period of financial strain in consequence of the war. Regarding railway construction, roads v and bridges throughout the Dominion, work was progressing satisfactorily, and every effort would he made during the : coming winter to provide employment for those needing it.
