GUNFIRE FROM SUBMARINES. United Pbess Association. (Received 8.55'a.m.) London, May 6. German submarine gunfire sunk the trawler Stratton in the North Sea i\nd the schooner Earl of Latham at Kinsale Head. The crews were picked up. STEAMER SUNK NEAR RAMSCATE. (Received 8.55 a.m.) ; J London. May 6. The Danish steamer Cathay was mined or torpedoed near Ramsgate and |sank, but all the crew were saved. i TORPEDOING OF NEUTRALS. Tijes and Sydney Sun Skrviob. -vtj (Received 8 a.m.) London, May 6. The Norwegian press, in a bitter tone on the torpedoing of neutrals, says: "It is poor satisfaction to a fleet whose ambition is the mastery of the sea. Neutrals can only look to the British fleet for safety."
