Reports from fife- va"ms applegrowing districts ''i Canada prove that last season's crop was m exceptional one in every respect. In every section yields were larger than the year before, and in point of quality the Ull'l crop is said to be superior to any winch has been raised for a number of years. The European war, however, has had a serious effect upon the market. It resulted, the shippers claim, in leaving virtually only England, United States, and the home market, 111 the Annapolis Valley. Nova Scotia, the yield of orchards was calculated at 900,000 barrels, equal to an increase of (id per cent, over PH.'). and the apples were of tlie best quality seen for many years. In New Brunswick the quantity of apples was about twice that of 1913. Prom the Georgian Hay district an increase of 7o per cent, was reported. In the Lake Ontario region. also, the crop was larger, while in the Koote.uay Valley, British Columbia, the crop showed an increase of GO per cent. During the last fiscal year Canada sold abroad £693,000 worth of apples. Of this total the sales to England amounted to £600,000;
