The Minister of Defence (Hon James Allen) states that.: the new artillery units accepted by the Imperial author!*ties are already undergoing training at Tretitham. The’whole of the N.C.O’s. and the most of tlie- officers required for the new infantr| null he brought into camp ||iext Wednesday, and the officers will be put through a thorough course of preliminary training, aftfetr which the men will be brought into Cgmp and undergo four 'months’ training; Intending recruits arV 'register^!g : in satisfactory numbers, but in view of the increased' offer by tlje New Zealand -Government it will be necessary to find 6000 additional recruits ,within the next six weeks.
