THE GROWING ASIATIC. Speaking bciore the Church Missionary Society in Melbourne on the race question. Rev. A. (i. Frazer, principal of Trinity College, Kandy, Ceylon, said that, as far as the “white Australia” policy was concerned, he I could not speak upon it from the Australian point of vicv. having keen in the country only a few days, but it seemed to him that it. would have to lie modified largely. The peoples lof Asia were developing a great nUtion|al spirit, and it was growing so rapidly that they were beginning to feel their own powers, and it would only |,o a very short time before they began to dictate terms. They had many resources, and were developing them strongly, and it would he a very serious thing if they had to assert thenrights. He was strongly of the opinion that color prejudice should not bo a barrier to inter-communication. I
