TARIFF PREFERENCE SCHEME. UNHID i'BMJrt A4tMJOIAIIO> (Received 9.10 a.m.) Melbourne, April 20. A deputation of Oliainber of Commerce manufacturers asked Mr Fisher i Premier) to impose a surcharge of 25 per cent, on enemy goods for ten years after the war. The deputation also suggested a three-schedule tariff on Canadian lines. This provides for preference for British goods, a lesser preference for most-favoured nations, and ordinary tariff on enemy goods. The Cabinet's consideration was promised. BIG RELIEF FUNDS.
