MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
NOMINATIONS TO DATE. Peb Press Association. Wanganui, April 19. G. N. Liffitoh, C. E. Mackay, and T. B. Williams were nominated for the Mayoralty to-day, There were fifteen nominations for twelve seats on the Borough Council. Daniievyrke, April 18. E. A. Ranson was elected Mayor unopposed for the fourth year in succession. Fifteen Were nominated for the nine Council vacancies. New Plymouth, April 18. Wilson (retiring Mayor), and Browne (ex-Mayo'r) were nominated for fc'fre Mayoralty. Only sufficient nominations were received for the Council, of wliom six are new Councillors. There will be no contest for the Harbor Board, the retiring members being re-elected. Five candidates were nominated for thi'tte seats on the Hospital Board. Palmerston North, April 19. For the Mayoralty J. A. Nash (present Mayor), and F. J. Nathan, were nominated. There were fourteen nominations for nine seats on tlie Council. Wellington/ April 18. The interest in the local bodies elections is increasing. John P. Luke (present occupant), Robt. Fletcher, M.P., and Charles H. Chapman were lfo'mifMed for tlie Mayoralty of Wellington.
