DEATH AT DANNEVIRKE. Peb Pkess Association. Dannevirke, April 12. William Ernest Prince, a farmer at Mnkotuku, who was knocked down by a locomotive at Dannevirke on the 20th March, died to-day at the hospital. A SWAGGER'S END. Dannevirke, April 12. A swagger whose identity is not certain, but who is supposed to be a man known as Fred McLaughlin, committed suicide on Sunday by cutting his throat with a razor underneath the Mangotoro bridge. "NO BLAME ATTACHABLE TO THE RAILWAY OFFICIALS." Dannevirke. April 13. At the inquest on William Arthur Prince, farmer, of Makotuku, who died as the result of injuries received through being struck by a railway engine three weeks ago, a verdict was returned that he met his death through being struck by a locomotive. no blame being attachable to the railway officials. FATAL FALL OF EARTH. Wanganui. April 13. A man named Sykes, aged 30. single, was killed at Koroniti yesterday afternoon through a fall of earth. He was working in a cutting, when fho earth fell in on him.
