MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOT.
On Friday evening a team representing the firm of Newton King journeyed to Cardill: and shot a match with the Cardill Home Defence Corps. The match resulted in a win for the latter by the narrow margin of live points. Following are the scores:—-I Newton King’s Staff.—Cl. T. Lawrence 31, Yd Crawshaw 33, if. Burmester 32, A. Hellior 32, A. Hignett 32, I*. Thonipsoji 30, B. Kivell 20, Yet tun 21.—210. Cardiff scores.— Rogers 33, A. Belcher 31, C. Haworth 33, A. David 31, ,J. Belcher 28, .). Rogers 31, R. A. Belcher 32, P. Alarcluint 32.—251. After the match the visitors were entertained by the Cardiff players at supper, when a lengthy toast list was gone through, Air J. Hignett ably leading the musical items.
