REINFORCEMENTS IN TRAINING GOVERNMENT PURCHASE OF ” MEAT.' Peb Pbess Association. Wellington, April 10. The whole of the 4th reinforcements, together with the new field artillery, field engineers and army service corps units, were marched out of camp yesterday morning and engaged in full operations, culminating in a general attack at dawn to-day upon a position held at Mangaroa by the Otago arid Canterbury infantry companies of the 4th reinforcements. The troops spent the night in bivouac, the weather being fine, and after concluding operations this morning marched back to camp. To date the Government has pur-, ohased £532,000 worth of meat on behalf of the imperial authorities.
