Mr .Cutbeu, .8.M., Coroner, giving his reserved decision at the inquest on the body of■' Margaret Dewes, who'was killed ,hv the sudden dropping l of a lift in Hphs6n ; Buildings, found 1 that the accident> was" due to neglect of Henry Renner, |thd lift attendant, aged 17, to place the ’control lever at the neutral position when he opened the door to allow the deceased to alight. The employment of this boy was a breach of the Act, but there was no evidence that any person was guilty of'such a degree of negligence to be found guilty of manslaughter.
