ARBITRATION COURT.
SPEECH BY THE PRESIDENT. Pee Press Association. Wellington, March 26. The Arbitration Court to-day decided to resume the hearing of industrial disputes. The President of the Court said that although certain industries were suffering from the effects of the war, the Dominion was singularly free from any ill effects, and enjoying a degree of prosperity quite remarkable under the circumstances. This was largely due to the exceedingly high prices ruling for •primary products. Tfe hoped workers would not be actuated by the question of self interest, and would refrain from attempting to impose fresh burdens upon industries which could not reasonably be expected to bear them. In any award the Court would make it would reserve the right to review the conditions should due cause be shown.
