Rome, March 22. Consuls have advised German and Austrian subjects to leave Italy at the earliest opportunity. The police are watching many new Austro-Ger-man arrivals,'having strong suspicions that they are military spies. IDENTIFICATION BADGES DISTRIBUTED TO THE SOLDIERS. United Press Association. (Received 9.10 a.m.) London, March 22. Rome reports that identification badges, which are customarily carried only by men who give their services have been distributed to the soldiers. In some quarters this is regarded as highly significant of Italy’s preparedness for any eventuality.
INCREASES IN THE NAVY AND AIR FLEET. (Received 8.*15 a. in.) Rome, March 22. Twenty submarines have been added to tiie Navy during the last 6 months. Now the airfleet consists of 300 aeroplanes, and twenty dirigibles.
