The Wanganui Education Board's ichool farm completed its first week )ii Mr K. Shortt's Almadale farm at Cheltenham, to-day. Fifty hoys are inder canvas in charge of the agricultural instructors, Messrs Grant and Banner. The practical instruction has neluded the study, of Hereford cattle, ihire horses, and Roiiinoy sheep. Mr j -Short placed his experts and stud lock at the disposal of the boys. 'During the day and at night lantern displays specially relating to farming subjects are given. The boys are very keen, and the results very satisfactory. The cooking is done by the boys in hatches, and the health of all in camp is good. In addition to the boys taking the agricultural course in the secondary departments, the chairman of the hoard has initiated a new departure by including some boys in the highest standards in backblocks schools, and they seemed among the best. The camp breaks up next week.
