An incident probably unparrelleied in history is reported. Dr. Runge, who was practising at Heioavtshohe when the Australian expeditionary force occupied it, although a prisoner of war, assisted in the treatment ol the troops. When he arrived in Australia the troops presented him with nn illuminated address in appreciation of his kindness.
