HERTZOC MAKES AN ADMISSION BEYERS’ INTENTION AT THE BEGINNING. United Press Association. (Received 8.45 a.m.) Capetown March 12. General Hertzog, in the Assembly, attributed the rebellion to the Gow ernment’s unconstitutional action. He admitted the Government had done its duty in suppressing disorder. Mr Neser, Chairman of Committees, announced that Beyers on August 14 told the commandants they were going to the border to receive German guns and and would then return to Pretoria to establish a Republic.
REBELS IN ORANGIA PAYING THE DAMAGE.
United Press Association. (Received 8.45 a.m.) Capetown, March 12. The rebels, in Oraugia have resolved bo repay all the damage. Some of the Loyalists merely claimed the cost price of the articles commandeered.
