TERRITORIAL CAMP.
Lieutenant Cray, who was in command of two platoons of D Company (Stratford) at the recent camp at Kowa Rewa, speaking to a "Post" representative, said that he would particularly like to point out the exemplary conduct of the men under his charge, i-liey had gained a golden opinion tor the work they had done from Major Harper, and though many of the men bad come from the back blocks, they ouickly picked up their drill at camp, the camp was very well conducted, the food was of the best, and everything in connection with it was carried out .n first-rate order. The training was , ory useful, from the infantry training do the final field work. The D Company was particularly good in charging, and took every advantage of cover, thus winning the praises ot Colonel llobin. One thing, however, which the Lieutenant missed was the training of officers in sword play, he believing they should be just as\ thoroughly trained in this branch of work as the men with the rifle. Another thing which won his admiration was the great cleanliness of the camp. After striking camp every piece oi paper and other rubbish was removed from the! paddock. Most of the men regretted) chat the cam)) had come to an end.
