A Sydney cablegram states that Cherubini has been scratched for the Cup.
A public meeting of ratepayers is called for next Monday in the Town Hall when particulars of the new r loan for the Municipal Buildings wilt be placed before them by the Mayor (Mr W. P. Kirkwood).
