Replying to Mr Pennefather concerning the pamphlet of Mr Ramsay .MacDonald, Mr Asquith, the Premier, regretted that grave misrepresentations had been published at a time when the only possible effect could he to encourage the enemy. Howver, lie thought its importance had been exaggerated in-as-nmeh as recruiting had not been affected.
