AMUSEMENTS.

H iS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. A programme of new features will he exhibited this evening. A striking war topical is “Wireless from the War,” showing scenes from the great battle fronts. A lino topical is “Panorama of Belgium.” “Ganmont’s War Graphic” includes, among many scenes, Canadians arriving at Salisbury Plain, dusky comrades from India on the move in France, London’s special constables, honouring the memory of Nelson on the anniversary of Trafalgar. “A Face on the bar-room Floor” is a Keystone comedy, and “Her Big Scoop” a romance of the press. Others are: “While the Tide was Rising” (Edison drama), “A Joke on Jane” (comedy), and “In Perils Path” (a political story).

LEO, JAN AND MISCHEL CHER- ' NIAVSKY. The young geniuses, Leo. Jan and Mischel Cherniavsky, violinist, pianist and ’cellist, will visit this town on Saturday, March 20th. All music lovers, in fact even a wider public than is implied in music lovers, will hail with delight these sturdy young Russian artists. It is interesting to note that the first war fund was started by the Cherniavskys in Brisbane and the first donation received by the Mayor of that city was from them. During their visit to Brisbane they gave one concert in aid of the fund, which is now larger than the war funds of any of the other States. Leo, Jan and Mischel Cherniavsky have had an enormously successful tour in Australia. The New Zealand tour will be a quick one, as the Cherniavskys are due shortly to open on the U.S.A., where their eom-i ing is being eagerly looked forward to. Of all the concert parties that have visited this country since the Clara Butt tour, the Cherniavskys have been the strongest attraction.
