"THE JAM OF CATHAY."

Stephenson and Linley's Royal Pantomime Company re-appears in the Stratford Town Hall on Friday (tomorrow) night, with the performance of "The Jam of Cathay," a musical extravaganza of a bright and breezy description, which is ably handled by the company. Miss Elsie Nicolas makes her appearance as ".Marie," and the other parts are equally capably filled; Those who witnessed the per-to.-inanee of "Humpty Dumpty" on Saturday last will feel every confidence as to the production of this latest extravaganza. An opportunity will be given to witness the wonderful acrobatic feet (plural number, feats!) of the Lennon-Hyman combination, which in itself is sure to draw the crowd. The prices are as usual— Is, 3s, and 2s, with children half-price.

H.M. THEATRE. "The Battle of Calais," a splendid war topical, i.s now showing at this Theatre-, along with a big programme of mixed novelties. Keystone's huge comedy, "The Property Man/' delighted those present. A drama of the religious temperament, entitled "Abide With Me," was screened to very pretty chime effects. , The "Gaumont War Graphic" is full of the most interesting war news. "Sonny Jim" in search of a mother, is a story which will delight the children. Some very pretty scces of ".Mount Dare Country," in natural colors were screened. There are also the "Tell Tale Scar" (drama), and "The Rise of the Johnsons" (comic). A new programme is announced for to-morrow night. A huge day-show will be given in aid of the Belgians at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
