RETURNS FROM SAMOA.

Auckland, March 1.
Ten members of the Samoa Expeditionary Force returned by the/Atua last night: Privates Le Cren, Bell, Lovell (Auckland), Stubbs (Wellington), Gunner Pearce, Sappers Drewery and Bodie, Privates Duar *and Thompson. It is reported at Fonuai that an uniuhabitted atoll, 35 miles north of Navua i$ in active eruption, lava being thrown three hundred feet high.
