DE WET’S TRIAL.
PUBLIC INTEREST FLAGGING.
Interest in the De Wet trial is flagging, owing to the absence ,of sen. sations.
De Wet is maintaining a quiet serious demeanour. Portions of the evidence appear to amuse him, judging by occasional broad smiles, but he seems bored, frequently looking at his watch, and he evidently shows ho miscalculated the situation to an appaling degree.
