N.S.W. WHEAT SUPPLIES.
United Press Association. Sydney, February 19
The Wheat Board has decided that an more wheat is to. be exported from New South Wales to anywhere. This means that Victoria, Westraiia, and South Australia have to purchase from nitside sources.,. As regards flour, it is stated that applications from neighbouring States will he sympathetically dealt with, and,it is understood they will he allowed to obtain normal supplies at the stipulated price. Presumably, this also applies to New Zealand, should the Dominion still desire to obtain a supply, but in the absence of definite information regarding the exact number of bushels of availihie. the Board is apparently, not desirous of making a definite statement regarding the quantities and price. Nothing has yet - been decided as to she payment for the wheat supplied to New Zealand.
ARGENTINE WHEAT FOR “TASSY.”
Hobart, February 19
The Government is purchasing 7000 tons of Argentine wheat at a landed cost of 8s 3d. It is to be sold to the millers at 8s 3d conditionally, on their •supplying the bakers with flour at not more than £7 (?) per ton, the latter celling bread at 3|d per 21b loaf. Negotiations are proceeding for the purchase of a similar quantity of Canadian wheat.
