Mr Mahon has ordered the deportation of two Chinese, recently from Canton, connected with the Chinese Republican News- published in Sydney, wherein they conducted a. fierce Chinese revolutionary campaign.

Sir H. L. Galway, replying to Mr Fisher's queries regarding his colored labor speech, stated that the speech had been correctly reported in the papers. In making the remarks he had. neither the wish nor intention to comment adversely on the Commonwealth policy. He now saw it woidd have been better to omit the reference to the much-debated colour question, and regretted saying any thing on the subject. BURGLAR SHOT DEAD. Melbourne, February 17.
