THE NAPIER CARNIVAL

Napier, February 16

To-day was an off day in connection with the New Zealand swimming championships, but a surf reel competition for the Nelson Shield n;as held by the Royal Life-Saving Society. The only teams to compete were Hawke’s Bay and Canterbury, the former winning by 81 points to 78. The swimming carnival will be continued tomorrow.
