The Egmont Racing Club’s Summer meeting resulted in a profit of, approximately, £BOO. The club is considering the advisableness of carrying, out several improvements, including the erection of a publicanks booth, a trainers’ stand, and the lining of the roof of the public dining rooms. These suggestions (states the Star) have been referred to a sub-committee, consisting of Messrs Adamson, Good, and Tonks, with power to act. At a committee meeting pf the EgiPont Racing Club on Saturday evening, Messrs R. H. Nolan and J. Gray were nominated delegates to the District Committee at New Plymouth, and Mr Nolan delegate to the New Zealand Conference. It was mentioned that Mr Nolan was expected to return to the Dominion before the Club’s May meeting.
