GREECE DEMANDS AN APOLOGY. AN INCIDENT IN CONSTANTINOPLE. United Press Association. (Received 9.0 a.m.) Rome, February 14. A detective insulted the Greek Naval Attache openly in the street at Pera, a suburb of Constantinople, and M. Panas, the Minister, protested to the Grand Vizier, who apologised. M Panas then referred the matter to the Greek Government, which secured the promise of ampler and more public reparation, including the offenders’ dismissal and the prefect of police’s apology.
