Mr Watt, in the course of an interview, said that the Government did not intend to adopt stringent measures with regard to the rank and file of the rebels, but that probably two or three hundred leaders would be tried for high treason. He added that the loyalists during the fighting were ordered not to fire until the 'ebcis did. He thought the campaign n German South-West Africa would be accomplished in six months, but if it took six years they must do it.
