Marton, February 10

The third annual show of the Marton A. and P. Association was a record one. Entries were very much larger in all classes than the previous year’s. About 5600 people were present. Hassall’s Micky Free won the champion hack, best paced hack, 15 stone hack. The ladies’ jumping, and second open hunters’ jumping were won by T. Bryce’s Twilight. H. G. Lancaster was the principal winner in Jersey and Crossbred dairy cattle; W. Gibson and A. G. Simpson in Shorthorns, W. J. Birch in Devons, G. L. Marshall and S. Coombe in Lincolns, and C. H. Handley in fat sheep.
