A LUCKY ESCAPE.

San Francisco, February 8

A survey of the Marama, which struck a rock at Half Moon Bay on her last voyage form Sydney, disclosed about fifty plates punctured or dented. The Marama was going dead-slow at the time of the mishap and backed into deep water, the-double bottom saving the vessel from settling down. It is estimated the damage i’s’hi the vicinity of £20,000.
