Judge Dennston said lie would give the. prisoner another chance, as he did not wish to make a criminal of him. He had already suffered two months’ imprison merit The prisoner was placed under probation for twelve months, ~and ornered to pay the .costs (£5) of the Persecution. His -Honor declined to order restitution to publicans, as bo did not consider they should he r nconragec io cash cheques.
