Official.—The Kaiser, who has gone to the eastern fighting line via Czenstochowa, telegraphed his congratulations to the Germans on storming the heights at Craonne. THE KAISERS LATEST ORDER. "DON’T SACRIFICE TOO MANY MEN.” (Received 8.45 a.m.) Rome, February 7.
It is rumoured in Berlin that the Kaiser, after his visit to the western front, ordered the cc/mmanders to abstain from sacrificing too many men, the operations being of secondary importance. One consequence of this order is that the Germans begin to believe the German troops in the west are numerically inferior to the enemy.
GERMANY’S CRAIN SUPPLIES.
(Received 8.45 a.m.) , Amsterdam, February 7. Germany has announced in regard to the Government seizure of grain that the (supplies are not for the State or the Army, but solely to ensure proper distribution among civilians.
A FIGHT TO THE LAST DROP OF GERMANY’S BLOOD.

The King of Bavaria, in an interview with a representative of Wildman’s Magazine, says the war was forced upon Germany, and she would go through with it until she had secured an incontestable victory and peace conditions worthy of the nation and commensurate with its sacrifices. The heart and soul of the whole country was in the fight. He added emphatically that Germany would fight to the last drop of her blood.
LOSS OF DESTROYERS AND SUBMARINES.
London, February 6
The Chronicle’s Holland correspondent says that, in addition to the published losses, Germany has lost eight destroyers and two submarines, while two other submarines have been missing for three weeks. The sinking of the'Kolberg is unofficially announced.
