Since the war they have been guarded, despite which, twice within a fortnight; fires have started. THE QUESTION OF RECIPROCITY. (Received 9.0 a.m.) Melbiftirne, February 5. Hon, AndrewtFisher Premier),' in'aft interview, sai#>:,he saw no necessity for reciprocity between Australia and Xew Zealand to stand over till arrangements were entered into with other sell-governing Dominions.* He hoped arrangements with Xew Zealand would be reached in „thV-*near future, but, it was a necessary preliminary to have a visit from a member of the New Zealand Mmisfciry Hd* Australia to discuss the details. However, nothing could be done immediately, as it might take a year in which to arrive at finality.
