THE SHIP PURCHASE BILL. Times and Sydney Sun Service. (Received, 8.0 a.m.) London, February 4. The Times' Washington correspondent says the revolt of some democratic Senators threatens the passage of'the Ship Bill, and the President and his supporters are working feverishly to secure its safety. The President has given his assurance that the Government has not purchased the interned German ships' against the wishes of other belligerents.
