AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP. In the inter-Stato hand contest in Sydney last week, the adjudicator, Mr P. Code, of Victoria, allotted the points as follows:—. CAMPION SHIP OF AUSTRALIA. First prize, Cloo, and the right to hold the Besson Challenge Shield for twelve ■ months. Second prize, £SO. Third prize, £2O. Fourth prize, silver-plated cornet, presented by Messrs W. H. Paling and Co. Newtown, 281 points ... ... 1 Metropolitan, 2b'J points ... 2 Parramatta Citizens’, 258 points 3 Rockdale Municipal, 257 points ..A Those figures also include tho points for the first piece, these being, uspectivcly, 139, 132, 125, and 129.
