In reply to the Press Association report from* Wanganui anent typhoid at Tailwpn, the truth is that tire local hospital lias live cases, but only one of these is local, other four Ohakune patients. . The death reported, was an Ohakune patient. During. November there was one case of typhoid at Taihape and none in December. The Health Officer reports that Taihape was clear of typhoid for the last month. It must lie remembered that in the Taihape hospital the cases cannot be classed as referring to Taihape, as the local hospital deals with cases over an extensive area, it being the only hospital between Tauinarunui and Palmerston and Wanganui.
