London, January 23. Both the coastguards and military patrol asserted that Zeppelins passed, but it is now certain that thej were mistaken. FRENCHMEN GET TO WORK BRUGES* BOMBED ON FRIDAY. Amsterdam, January 23. French airmen dropped several bombs into Bruges on Friday afternoon. AEROPLANE ENGAGEMENT BOMB-DROPPING AT DUNKIRK. United Press (Association. Paris, January 23. Aeroplanes at Dunkirk dropped eighty bombs, killing seven, and wounding a dozen. Aircraft pursued the invaders.
ZEEBRUGGE ATTACKED. ALLIES' AIRMEN ELUDE ENEMY. A CAPTURE AT DUNKIRK. London, January 24. The Press Bureau reports that Squadron-Commander Davies ond Flight-Lieutenant Pierse on Friday dropped twenty-seven bombs into Zeebrwgge. It is believed that they damaged a submarine, and caused many casualties among the gun crews on the inole. Davies had previously eluded seven surrounding German aeroplanes', and proceeded to Zeobrugge, although wounded in the thigh. Thirteen German aeroplanes bom lied Dunkirk. A British aviator brought otje down, and captured the occupants. One bomb smashed the windows and furniture, of the United States Consulate.
