A BROKEN LEG AT LEVIN.
SIMPLE ACCIDENT WHILE TREEFELLING. |P|K PeBBB [ASSOCIATION. ] Levin, January 23. On Thursday evening, Mr J. Smellie, manager of the Levin butter factory, met with a serious accident at his residence, Weraroa. He was felling a tree, with a rope attached to bring it down in the right direction, and while pulling on the rope it broke, and Smellio fell with his leg doubled underneath him, breaking his leg below the knee. He/ was taken to the Otaki hospital.
