In his evidence, Emerson admitted pulling Sutala up in order ■-.o get a better position next the rails. The stewards considered that ho acted lu a careless manner, though with no wrong intention. They expressed the opinion that Sutala was pulled up too sharply, and was the cause of Bimeter coming to giiel. Emerson was disqualified till March 31st for careless riding.
