THE TOTALISATOR IN WESTRALIA. [ByEmjoteio Telegraph—Copyright] United Presk Association. Perth, January 20. The Police Commissioner in Lis an-, mial report advocates the totalisator as the least harmful form of racecourse betting. THE FOXTON MEETING. (Notes by Cicero.) The Foxton Club received fair acceptances tor the annual meeting which opens to-morrow. Ujl a moderate lot of jumpers engaged in the Hurdles, Papiitz and Capt. Mucky should command most support. LuDriline and Combustion are nicely placed in the Electric Handicap. An average lot ligure in the Cup. Moucoa Girl (who will have the advantage of racing on her .own track) iand Victoria (who showed first-class form during tiie holidays) should provide a good race. Should Fore start in the Awahou Welter, she will take a power of beating. To Hou Hou may be her strongest opponent. The small number of five made the acceptance in the Flying. The majority of sports in Tarauaki look on the race as a certainty for Crawford, but Orleans is sure to extend the little black. A large field are engaged in the Dash Handicap. New i'ork, Atiss Kelly and Wild Daisy are all fast over this distance. In | the absence of Fore and Victoria (who are engaged earlier in .the programme) Black Lupin may start favorite iu the Herrington Welter.
