A German battery, attempting to shell the Russians, was silenced. SLAUGHTER IN POLAND. CERMAN REGIMENTS PRACTICALLY VANISH. Timii and Bydn«y Sun Smviobi. (Received 8 a.m.) London, January 20. The latest German casualty lists show that several regiments have practically vanished as the result of tho wholesale slaughter in Poland.
