GERMAN PROCLAMATION TO THE POLES. United Press Association. London, .January 14.
A Pctrograd message says: “A lealure of the Polish situation is the increasing practice of the Germans to wage war by proclamation. The Russians recently occupying positions found posters on the wire entanglements, asking them to become friends, as the Germans were treating the Russians kindly, supplying them with work, and enabling them to earn money; also offering seven roubles for every riile delivered to the Germans. A number of Germans came to tbe Russian trenches with boxes of “smokes,” printed with effusions, declaring that the war was due to a tenable misunderstanding. Captured German ollicers were found in possession of proclamations, asking tho Russians to end the war. MILLION RUSSIAN REINFORCE. MENTS FOR THE FRONT. (Received 5.5 a.m.) London, January 11. Tim Times states that one million Russian reinforcements recently reinforced their front.
