RACING FIXTURES. Jan. 29 and 30—Takapuna J.C, Summer, Feb. 10—Rotorua J.O. Feb. 13—Te Kuiti R.O. DISQUALIFICATIONS ARICINC OUT OF A PROTEST. A protest which was associated >vi ( ). the Hurdle Race at Tattersall’s Club meeting (N.S.W.) recently, has beer responsible for an unexpected and somewhat sensational development (writes an Australian paper). At the conclusion of that race, G. York, ider of Louis Brook, which ran second, objected to the winner, King Lucre, ridden hy E. Moon, alleging inter . reituc not only in the straight, but < oming round the last turn. In due cov r e the protest was dismissed, but as t’.o evidence regarding the alleged interference at the home turn prar'ically amounted, in the opinion of (lie stipendiary stewards, to a charge of foul riding, further inestigation was decided upon, when the stewards di qualified G, York, rider of Louis ' rook, and F. Moore, rider of the third ’ orse, Compromise, in Tatetersall’s Hurdle Race, each for a period of two v'' >'R. The inquiry really was based upon \ hat arose out of the incident so for as it related to the home turn. The stewards exoneratd King Liter’s ridrr, E. Moon, whom they found to be quite blameless.
