Sir George Reid (Commonwealth High Commissioner) returns to England to-day, states a Cairo cablegram. Rene Maxwell, of Sydney, won the principal scholarship at the Guildhall School of music, which is valued at £BO per annum, states a. London cablegram. Dr. Robertson, who for about twelve months acted, as locum teneus for Df. A. Dillon Carhery, and who went Jo England a week or two after leaiitfg Stratford, has received a commission in the R.A.M.C., and when the la|t mail left England he was with the troops on Salisbury Plain. f
Dr. A. Dillon Carbory, who went to •the Continent with the first Britispi Expeditionary Force, and has been through the whole of the campaign |i Belgium, recently received a shout leave of absence for the purpose (jf visiting the Old Country, and has again returned to the front. Dr Jr Carbery, at the time of writing, was in excellent .health, and, nUkmvrh often i|ti the fighting line, had so far escaped being wounded.
