PERSECUTION OF CREEKS IN ASIA MINOR. United Press Association.

The Turks, not satisfied with the exemption of 120,000 Gfeeks from Asia Minor in the autumn have renewed their persecution. Official messages have been publish, ed detailing the wanton murders of inoffensive Greeks at Kiridj, Barudjuk, Ligia, and other villages. Requisitions amounting have been enforced on Christians. Meanwhile, numerous destitute Greeks have taken refuge in Smyrna. » THE PORTE’S FINANCES. (Received 8.50 a.ra.) Sofia, January 40. A telegram from Constantinople says The Porte’s finances are in an acute condition. The Board of the Ottoman Bank in Constantinople has been placed provisionally under a curatorium during the war to provide financial relief. The Porte evidently intends to confiscate it* funds.
