Roumania

450,000 MEN AVAILABLE. MOBILISATION OF THE ARMY. [Unitbd Paisa Association.] Paris, January 10. Le Petit Parisien states that Roumania is preparing to mobilise three classes, totalling 135,000 men, to be ready for service by the end of January, and ultimately making 150,000 available in the fiejd.

Some doubt exists as to the attitude of Greece, Servia, and Bulgaria towards Roumanian aims. In November last, M. Take Jonesco, exPremier of Rouraania, stated his firm conviction that his country would enter into the war. He added; “The only difference of opinion are those concerning the exact moment of Intervention. Some urge that an entete with Italy, or at least with Bulgaria, should first be arrived at. No one takes Bulgaria’s declaration of neutrality seriously, and there are those who consider that the Triple Entente Powers are deceived in thinking that Bulgaria is on their 'dde. They consider that Bulgaria is only waiting until Roumanian troops have passed the Carpathians to throw herself upon both Roumania and Servia. Those who favor immediate action on the part of Roumania desire to see a Serbo-Bulgarian and a Graeco.Bnlgarian agreement effected, and should these arrangements be reached by the efforts of England and Russia, any Bulgarian-Roumanian understand, ing would be facilitated.” On December 2nd, the London “Morning Post” published a telegram from M. Jonesco, in which he reiterated: “Be certain that Roumania will join the Entente, the only matter still under discussion being the precise date of it ”
