A JOCKEY DISQUALIFIED. Per Press Association. Marton, January 6. The Marton Jockey Club's judicial committee to-day further heard the adjourned inquiry into the running of Martlet in the Farewell Hack Handicap on 2nd January, and after consideration, disqualified Robert Young, the jockey, for a year, for obviously pulling Martlet in the said race.

TROTTINC. NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. Christchurch, January 6. A meeting of the hoard of the New Zealand Trotting Association—was held this afternoon. Present: Messrs P. Selig (president), W. L. Simes, W. G. Garrard, C. F. Mark, and H. F. Nicoll. The Cromwell Jockey Club forwarded correspondence relating to Little Pearl, winner of the Upper Clutha Trot at the Club's annual meeting. A protest had been lodged by the owner of the second horse, and the stakes had been impounded until the mare's identity had been established. The owner of Little Pearl had made a statutory declaration as to the mare's identity. It was decided to refer the case back to the club to take what steps were thought necessary to clear up the matter. The action of the New Brighton Trotting Club in dismissing the protest lodged by the owner of Lord Elmo, who had run third against Franzalena (who finished second in the Telegraph Handicap at the Club's recent meeting), for crossing was endorsed. In connection with the disqualifications imposed by the Auckland Trotting Club as the result of the recent boycott by members of the Northern Trotting Horse Owners', Breeders', and Trainers' Association, a further letter was read from C. F. Giesen, protesting against the punishment inflicted in the case. In view of the fact that nnder the rules Mr Mark was ineligible to sit while the case was being dealt with, and that the board would thus be without a quorum, it was decided to hold the case over till next meeting. The board considered.the Alexandra Park case, which had been under investigation for several months, and decided that on the evidence before the board no further action should be taken.
