AUCKLAND SUMMER MEETING. Auckland, December .30. The second day’s races of the Auckland Trotting Club’s summer meeting took place to-day in perfect weather. The totaltlsator registered £21,400, as against £17,958 on the same day last year. Results:—,

Oak Handicap, in harness, 100 sovs'; one mile and a half.—2 Auckland Girl, losec, 1; 1 Blackthorn, 4sec, 2; 11 Lady Heiress, 13sec, 3. Won easily all the way. Time, 4min.. Tramway Handicap, harness, of 100 sovs; one mile.—l Waverley, 9see, 1; 3 Linotype. Usee, 2; 4 August Child, 3sec, 3. Also ran: 3 Frangaine, Won easily by two lengths. Time, 2min 24 sec.

Summer Cup Handicap, of 350 sovs; harness, two miles'.—2 Wallace Wood, Bsec, 1 ; 1 Jewel Chimes, 6sec, 2 ; Harvey Huon, 10sec, 3. Also started: 4 Stop It, 5 Wallace M., 6 Clive. Won by four lengths. Time, 4min 39sec. Christmas Handicap, in saddle, 150 sovs; two miles.—l Prince Rufus, 9 sec, 1 ; 2 Annoyed. 13sec.2; St. Trella, 16sec, 3. Also started: Scotia. Won easily. Time, 4min 43 l-ssec.

Epsom Trot Handicap, in harness, 150 sovs; two miles.—B Hoya, 12sec, 1; 3 Syren, 20sec, 2; 2 Gray W., 15sec, 3. Won by half a length, after a great struggle with Syren. Time 4min 49sec.

Ranfurly Handicap, in harness, 250 sovs; a mile and a quarter.—l Jewel Chimes, 6sec, 1; 6 Phyllistina, Usee, 2; 4 Specialist, 7sec, 3. Won by a length. Time, 2min 52 l-ssec. Dominion Handicap, in saddle, 150 sovs; one mile.—2 Lord John, Bsec, 1 ; 3 Walnut, scr., 2; 5 Huia Grey, ssec, 3. Won in a punishing finish by half a head. Time, 2min 26sec.
