RETREAT FROM SUPERIOR NUMBERS. United Press Association. Vienna, December 15. A communique states: Our offensive south-east of Yaljevo encountered the enemy in far superior numbers, necessitating a retreat of our forces, which have been fighting for many weeks tenaciously with great losses. The communique admits that Belgrade has been evacuated. COMPLAINT OF MISMANAGEMENT. Rome,' December 15. The superintendent of a London organisation in Venice states that the authorities mismanage the Austrian forces. The men are marched for six days and nights without rest. Hundreds fall out exhausted.
